Bretton Kyle is an indie pop, alt-rock rockstar on a musical journey guided by his passion to create heartfelt original songs with thoughtful lyrics depicting relatable stories and memorable melodies. From the woods of Vermont, he always wanted more, and no better place to get it than NYC. His live performances are not to be missed, whether he brings the energy playing solo acoustic or wails on the electric as his drummer brings the noise. Some songs encourage audience participation with dancing and singing along to the catchy, cheerful tunes while others lead to emotional introspection. He sings with powerful vocals and heartfelt passion, as he connects with each song with deep feelings the audience will experience long after the last melody ends.
Receiving his first guitar at the age of 13, Bretton Kyle was focused on acoustic stylings in all forms, challenging himself across many genres, such as intricate finger-stylings of Tommy Emmanuel and Jimmy Page, while loving to play fun songs at family gatherings for everyone to dance to. In his mid-teens, his aunt lent him an electric guitar, which allowed him to write and perform in rock bands in the coming years.
After pursuing a career as a healthcare provider, 2020 marked Bretton Kyle’s return to his roots in music. He realized that music is how he embodies his truest self and he desires to inspire others to find their own version of being a rockstar.
In 2023, Bretton Kyle released his debut single, Mother Rooster, as the first original of a deep line-up of songs curated over years of writing. Within the year, he hosted 4 successful shows in NYC, with his final show on Stage 2 at Rockwood Music Hall. This final show of 2023, on December 2nd, also marked the release of his third single, Devil of the Desert.
Filled with grit and gratitude, Bretton Kyle is ready to take on the challenges ahead and adapt to the changes as they come on his musical adventure. He is so grateful for every person who has supported in any way along this journey and he is so excited to be finally sharing his music with the world.
