IN BRIEF
ABOUT
Bretton Kyle is a rock act on a mission to move people, not just through sound, but through soul. With an electric stage presence and a voice that feels equal parts grit and grace, Bretton makes music that dares listeners to be their wildest, most authentic selves, created and performed with bassist, RJ, and drummer, Nick. Their songs are personal anthems: lyrical, raw, and driven by the kind of energy that fills a room and stays with you long after the final chord.
The newest YouTube videos of their live shows - check out “Rabid Rabbit,” “Wonderland” and “Set Your Spirit Free” - highlight their electric and raw sound: Led Zeppelin inspired guitar riffs from frontman Bretton, heavy metal and punk influences on the drums by Nick, and the human jukebox, our bassist RJ, who lays down rhythmic complexities that sound both familiar and new to round out our songs - together creating a wall of sound from only three instruments.
The sound blends classic rock with modern takes on punk, blues, indie, and pop influences. Emotionally charged, full of heart, and unapologetically free - their music has filled iconic New York City venues including Rockwood Music Hall - Stage 1 and 2, Pianos, Berlin Under A, Gold Sounds, NuBlu, Pete’s Candy Shop, The Delancey, Connolly’s, The Music Inn, and Cobra Club.
Bretton's early singles, raw bedroom recordings created remotely with longtime friend and Grammy winning producer Matt Maroulakos (credits include Jacob Collier, The Linda Lindas, and The Happy Fits), laid the groundwork for the bold new chapter as a rock trio. For nearly two years, the band and Matty have been recording the most recent singles live in the studio, bringing an organic, full-bodied sound to life.
The first single, “Stayin’ Up All Night,” was released May 2, 2025, kicking off a wave of new music that captures the evolution of a rockstar confidently taking his spotlight and owning his voice. His most recent single “I’m Sorry,” continues building serious momentum as an artist to watch. Releases are planned every 6 weeks going into 2026 with roll outs of more of their live, hard hitting, blues rock sound. Additionally, the band has recorded a live EP of their original music at Studio40 at the New York Public Library that is pending release in mid 2026.
Whether you hear them in your headphones or from the front row, one thing is clear: Bretton Kyle isn’t just playing music, they are creating space for people to feel everything, let go, and come alive.
